    This is pretty good, but I think I lack the nostalgia (despite the fact that my Mum was obsessed with Robbie) to make this truly hit. The visual effects are interesting and well put together, and your man playing Robbie has got the mannerisms absolutely spot on, but honestly I don’t think this script is all that different or special to any other musician’s biopic (that is to say, bleeding heart hagiography).

    Still, Rock DJ and the sequence absolutely BANGS.

    There was not a second — let me re-iterate, a single, solitary second — of this film that I did not adore. Every beat hits. Every joke lands. Everything about this is absolutely superb. 

    Obviously Zegler is great in it, as she always is, but I really liked both Jaeden Martell and Julian Dennison. Lachlan Watson and THE GUY PLAYING HIMSELF I DON’T REALLY WANT TO SPOIL also get a shoutout. I was so in it with Martell’s character especially,…
