“What is our carrying charge for all the merchandise in the warehouse?”
“Ohhhh man…”
“One and a…”
“… half percent! I knew that! Why can’t I remember it?”
“Try an association like, uhhh... Let's say the average person uses ten percent of their brain. How much do you use? One and a half percent. The rest is clogged with malted hops and bong resin.”
Not by any means a first time watch but rewatched (for the umpteenth time) with my mom. I can quote this entire movie word for word and it is truly one of if not the best. I miss Chris Farley 😔
What would’ve made it better:
- bill hader/Stefon
- stop with Domingo
- remove Sabrina carpenter and Kim K pls
- give Quinta Brunson a real part please 😔😔 she’s so funny
- who is miles teller the best part of this skit was Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph
Best parts:
- alien abduction
- actually good Chad skit
- Adam Sandler
- John Mulaney + David Spade
- Kate McKinnon as always
- Chris Farley tributes
Overall very good and bringing back the old sketches didn’t feel tired, good new takes
Mixed emotions however altogether positive! Cinematically a masterpiece— incredibly emotional and, as someone who takes a particular interest in Chernobyl, it’s a pretty good historical overview for those that don’t know a ton about it. There are some glaring historical errors throughout but they don’t take away from the viewing, and I appreciated the montage of facts at the end.
TLDR: Cinematically? 10/10. Historically? Ehhhh… could be worse! But also could be better
Watched this with the suitemates. Unbearable. Do NOT recommend.
