This film was amazing from Heath Ledger’s portrayal and screen presence to the compelling action sequences. It is a sequel but watching it on its own you do not need the rest of the films to follow, and that is what makes it such a great movie. It is typical for me to say but Ledger made this movie what it is. He transformed completely into this psychotic yet likable villain in a most unique way. I ended up rooting for the Joker as the film progressed and forgot it was a “Batman” movie.
