  The way people talk about the Menu had me very much expecting a different experience than what I got. Its messaging is literally spelled out for you throughout the entire movie, starting so early that it becomes redundant, and it never seems to manage to grab hold of the soul that it’s sorely lacking (despite multiple attempts).
