Pedro Pascal and Oscar Issac had some good performances but the editing was weird, the tone they were going for didn't really match up with the premise and I just didn't like Ben Affleck's character so most of the tension in the second half fell completely flat. call me crazy but this is top 3 in ghibli movies for me. Somehow so comforting and relaxing, amazing visuals as always. I honestly really enjoy the characters and the story but it is told a touch oddly so unless you are ready to fully suspend you're disbelief and get lost in a fairytale, maybe don't give it a watch. Which is part praise and part earnest caveat: this might not be for everyone
