  Possibly one of the most entrancing films I’ve ever seen. I know my preferences towards period dramas tend to revolve around the slow burn, but this film does more than the slow burn—it ignites your emotions. From lust to love, jealously to contempt, sadness to anger; this film does it all and it’s gorgeous on top of it all. It also definitely made me question my sexuality a number of times. It’s overtly symbolic and catastrophically beautiful. A must watch and possibly one of my new top favorite films when I need a good cry.
