  This movie transgender as hell!!! It whips ass visually, with the final fight between the giant evil building and the big spooky head in space being sick as fuck, and that Beastie Boys hallway fight scene being a lot of fun as well, but more importantly: it's trans!! Like, okay, it's about a guy who has had his body viewed as a medicalized site of disgust his whole life finds community with people like him and then ends up coming into conflict with a father figure who won't use his preferred name and pronouns?? Trans. Gender.

  So many people hate this movie for being a cringey, goofy take on Batman that makes him and the whole mythos look silly. Now, I personally couldn't give two shits about Batman, so I appreciate the movie for what it is: a camp fucking masterpiece.

  This movie was a complete letdown. Now, maybe I had my expectations too high, but someone said "trans lesbian vampire movie" and I was obviously so excited that it would be hard for anything to live up to it.
