Tell me why this was the weirdest yet most entertaining movie. Basically Zendaya’s character is a crazy person who fucks around with 2 other tennis players. First ur thinking these men are in love with her and each other, then you’re wondering who she’s gonna pick, and then you conclude she’s a psychopath who just loves physiological warfare and from there it’s just amazing. Also tell me how this is the same director as Call me by your name that does not add up…

I watched Grey Gardens in my film class, and the documentary has been highly controversial for being called exploitative. But the more you watch, the clearer it becomes that the Beale women are natural performers who are clearly living for the camera. They aren’t ashamed of their messy, wild world and are excited to share it. This film captures the beauty of unapologetically being yourself, even if society doesn’t get it. It’s absolutely weird, but also wonderful and unforgettable all at the same time.
