I had a hard time seeing the robot as a person and deserving of autonomy.
I can kinda see it as a story of breaking out of a controlling relationship, but robots simply arent people and i think that effected my view of the movie

Disappointed that an integral point of the plot was changed and over-complicated.
If this does lead into a different timeline or retelling of the story then that might change my perspective. this prequel did not feel necessary.I also believe that the jackal's spawn would be perfect from the first birth and would not require multiple trials.
There were a few good things i liked. I loved how creepy the sister that hung herself was. The birth scene Margaret saw was so freaky! The soundtrack was not bad.Translated from by -

a bleak future where the government requires 20% of the population to die. adult siblings fight over who to sacrifice for their fathers estate.
I loved how the story is laid out, the news reports. we learn early on the grandfather was on the news. the final news the families dynamic is interesting and i enjoyed rachel's cold heartedness.
i can definitely see America willing to kill millions of poor people if it meant the gas industries can keep making profit.
great movie, my only grievance is, i didn't like that grace was killed...
