I don't think there is any other war film that does as good job of a job portraying the dark reality of war and truly encompasses the phrase "War is hell" as well as "๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฆ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐๐ฆ๐ฆ".
It was interesting to see the Germans and traitors get killed by the partisans. I believe it symbolizes that war is a cycle, when one side attacks, the other side feels a strong obligation to attack back, whether it be for self-defense orโฆ
