I think it’s hard for me to tell what is intentional commentary on the reality of how women and sex workers are treated vs what is actual misogyny potentially coloring the portrayal of anora. And if it is all intentional how do u make sure the audience is in on it. Visually really pretty movie tho

Omygod it’s on Letterboxd now—the most mind bending, wall breaking, reality altering show that’s forever changed the way I watch television and view representation on screen. Use of lighting and dialogue to play into tv genres and tropes was so cool. Love the way it shows who controls the narrative and whose story is being told, down to the episode titles. super cool
