Very silly, as expected, but a novel and interesting way to make a biopic.
Some moments of enjoyable cinematography are dotted through the familiar narrative of Take That / Robbie Williams, but unfortunately brought down by a few jarring musical numbers and visual effects.
Look, this movie wasn't made for me, but I still enjoyed it a lot. Even moreso thanks to the occasional glances at my sister sitting next to me who was agog the entire time. Erivo and Grande play off one another so well throughout and Jeff Goldblum as Oz is exceptional 🙏
At 2h41, it's a little long for a Part One if you ask me... 👀
