See 'ya.

The Holdovers 2023
i felt this movie so much. it was so funny, but sad. not heartbreakingly sad, but sad enough to make you tear up. honestly, i really liked it! loved the characters, the setting, the editing. yeah. :)

Get Out 2017

i think the only thing that i'd change about the movie is the cops/detectives scene. i don't think it made much sense the lack of interest, i mean— you're telling me a COP doesn't care about a possible lead on a man that's been missing for 6 months?
anyways, besides that scene, i think the movie was pretty neat! it served its purpose, it was pretty well done, and it was, honestly, unnerving at points.

The Substance 2024
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
i think i enjoyed 70% of the movie until the last thirty minutes. i would've prefered if they opted for an open ending where Sue just killed Elisabeth and ends up with a "...now what?", instead of .. whatever that was.
but after giving it some thought i think the movie is dumber than i thought.. and also kind of lazy? i can't really explain it, not only some of the editing (specially with the memories and flashbacks) was extremely…
