What a mess. Nonsense plot, whack science, crappy character development, YA pap... but one star to Asa Butterfield, who somehow manages to be super likeable in this sappy waste of time and is growing up pretty well... and one star for Carla Gugino because Carla Gugino is a badass laughing all the way to the damn bank with her choices. The movie happening around them gets a half star. Sigh.

One star for the Nash Metropolitan. No stars for any of the rest of this clunker. Made the mistake of watching the trailer first so sat through the film twitching over the fact that Katie Holmes doesn't know how to pronounce the word vigilante lol
