    Anora

    ★★★½

Understood why it won the oscars by the end!

I'd still rep the brutalist first, but it's well deserved.

The satire on the russian oligarchs was very entertaining, past that the character dynamics were highly entertaining!

I did feel that Anora's character was slightly underdeveloped. I wish we had gotten even a sliver more of information on her background and her why's.

Nonetheless, powerful message and a great movie!

    Entertained and moved.

Quite a re-adaptation of the original!

The performances are eye-catching, Skarsgard continues with his abnormal roles playing count Orlok in this film.

I loved the inclusion of references from the original work with the use of, I believe, romanian spread throughout the lands and Nosferatu himself bearing a heavy, really funny tbh, accent.

Jarin Blaschke has such a sweet mastery over recreating paint-like, soft diffusion with heavy contrasts. Genuinely beautiful.

However, Robert's work seems to tick something off for me…

A few years back, I had watched this movie for the first time. It just didn't click. I couldn't understand the hype people felt over this movie, sure the story was cute and Totoro was absolutely adorable but my mind at the time just found it off.
Tonight, this movie was one of the most entertaining watches I've had in a long, long time. Sitting with my sister and my cousin, we couldn't help…

    Neon Genesis Evangelion

    ★★★★★

Evangelion is a reflection of humanity.

A reflection of all our traits: qualitative, flawed. It's the embodiment of humanity's primal desire for love ignorant of the walls, or so called A.T. fields, we've built around our hearts in fear of pain, loneliness and emptiness.

It is the reflection of the human want for love,
yet are we deserving of this love we, oh so crave?

Neon Genesis Evangelion creates a world filled with characters facing an array of internal conflicts…
