Cerruti agreed to allow Bale to wear their suits, but not when the character was killing anyone (lame). Comme des Garçons refused to allow one of their overnight bags to be used to carry a corpse, so Jean Paul Gaultier was used instead (cheap). That said, what doesn’t really come through in the film is the book’s in-depth reported, unsettlingly delightful sadism (upsetting).
