  broke my heart. triggering. a family that failed her, a system that failed her, and "faith" that couldn't save her. beautiful acting. very escapist. the metaphors from scene to scene were uncanny. a movie abt an identity crisis externalized and how it settles and infects the deepest childhood wounds. this movie is a reminder to be gentle to those around us. a story about sacrifice and loss. the final few moments were heart wrenching. calls for a deep introspection afterwards especially if spirituality is a soft spot.
