Herzog’s Nosferatu is way more terrifying than this. While the film had its moment of pure horror, there was something missing in the atmosphere - it truly felt like a typical horror film than some of Eggers previous releases. I’m thinking about The Witch and The Lighthouse, both of which utilized atmosphere way better than Nosferatu and were much more horrifying.
