Fantastic performances from all - I've always had a strong dislike for Nicholas Hoult, but even he did well in this film.
The film plays it straight and shoots right down the barrel of the genre - the director doesn't add any profoundly modern twists, and instead chooses to distinguish the film through the fundamentals. I.e. cinematography, performances, locations, historical accuracy...
