    full of so many beautiful, idiosyncratic moments, spanning the range from the whimsical (but never twee) to the intensely violent. Horibe beginning his therapeutic journey as an artist by sitting on the shore, facing the sea and trying on a beret at a slant is this wonderful little scene - and it’s shot with the same level of verve and composure as a dude getting a chopstick suddenly rammed…

    Saw this as part of a double bill with Badlands and absolutely adored every second of it. So warm and empathetic and funny and loving. Maybe the best script ever written about being a weird child lost in a world of grown up, weirder children that just doesn’t make sense. “We’re in love. We just want to be together. What’s wrong with that?”
