the end upset me alot as it just revolved around the boys’ obsession with the girls rather than their death and tragedy. it was a good representation of how they acc see them. they spoke of them as an idea they loves having without actually loving any of them, they literally ignored their calls for help and stole their little sister’s diary which could’ve been an important memory of her. also they totally ignored how poor mary survived and treated her like she was nonexistent and unworthy
