Aftersun 2022
aftersun is probably my most favorite film that i, unfortunately, cannot rewatch often because of how emotionally heavy it is. it’s like a childhood memory that cuts sharply and too deep. every interaction, every word, every silence, every subtle emotion shared between two precious human beings crashes you with its intimacy bringing lonely nostalgia and inescapable melancholy. it’s both about the memories that one could never return to and the internal struggles of facing oneself on one’s own. tbh describing…
