Some good comedic bits, fine acting, and Emerald Fennel’s trademark gorgeous cinematography. As with her previous achievement “promising young woman”, so many of the shots in Saltburn feel as though they are beautifully composed pictures in motion. The film’s garish ‘on the nose’ social commentary is often cringe-worthy and lazy, shocking moments are not given enough real substance to be interesting, and predictable plot twists are treated as though the audience could not have foreseen them.
Probably worth a watch, but mostly forgettable.

A Christmas Carol 1984
My favorite adaptation of the Christmas carol story. George C.
