I Used to Be Funny 2023
So the first like 30 minutes of the movie it was kinda like ok whatever Rachel Sennott playing herself but by the end I was totally in. This isn’t really a relationship you normally see talked about, and I found it pretty interesting watching while I was also at my side hustle gig work bullshit 20 something job.

I've had this movie recommended to me for several years, and I'm glad to report it lived up to expectation. Funny, great pacing, and plenty of Soviet iconography. I know it's the point but I'm really bummed they killed the kid. Also after reading about the dispute over editing the movie I'm not sure the director actually understood what the movie was about. I can't believe they were going to cut the scene with the dad. That made the whole thing believable and relevant.
