I don't know if it's really worth 4 stars, but I went in only knowing it has Gosling in it and hoping it won't be a catastrophe movie building all its comedy through second-hand embarrassment. And I was pleasantly surprised! Gosling is just so good, he never seems to fail to deliver. The humor was absolutely spot on for me, I cackled way more often than I should have. I love a good mix of violence and comedy in my movies.

we had this on a vhs when i was a kid - i never realised it was only 24 minutes until i was much older. it made me cry as a kid and it makes me cry today. i consider the happy prince to be the most emotional film i have ever seen.
