  James Bond but for wife guys

  Fun, stylish and unique spy story with a tight runtime. Really doesn't hold your hand, which I loved, but if you see it make sure you're not too sleepy and be ready to buckle in. I liked it most when it was focusing on the character relationships; the couple of scenes that had futuristic spy tech felt out of place to me.

  Miss Congeniality 2000

  Sandra Bullock's performance is great, but the rest of the script? Not so much. Everything with the other FBI agents I thought was particularly dumb. Still relatively fun and breezy, and got a few good laughs out of me. I appreciated that she actually looked and acted like a tom-boy (at the start, spoilers!!) instead of being a conventional bombshell with glasses, but everyone's shock at her transformation after getting her hair done and being put in a dress obviously makes no sense.

  The first third felt slow to me but once the groundwork was laid and the bits became increasingly high-concept it was hilarious. Super creative visual style, really fun.

  It cracks me up, and Amy Adams is great. It's more of a kids' movie than I remember (since seeing it as a kid), and I find the third act a bit of a snooze. But wholesome fun.
