This movie almost gives me hope for the Marvel franchise. If anything Kevin Feige put out between now and when this movie released was seriously good (not including Deadpool 3), I’d feel a lot better about the franchise.
James Gunn is an actual genius btw. My brother and I realized that we could understand Groot even before the end of the movie, simply because Groot was such a consistent character. I think that’s the mark of a true artist, when character motivations and actions are so consistent that you can understand them even when they’re speaking nonsense.
