Barbie 2023
Genuinely, one of the best movies I’ve seen this year. I knew it was going to be good, I never doubted that. But, as she usually does, Greta Gerwig absolutely blew it out of the park. The imagery, the colors, the outfits and the music are all incredibly well thought and nicely put. And the content of the movie is just amazing, and it truly spoke to me – as a woman–, about what is like to be a woman and to grow up in the world we live in as one.

Jonathan Larson was an incredible artist, extremely talented and he deserved to see the impact he had on musical theater. This movie is a great adaptation of a amazing musical. I’m still shocked Andrew Garfield said he learned to sing for this role, because of how well he did it. And, this goes to show that, Lin-Manuel Miranda should stay behind the scenes.

Elle Woods is a huge inspiration. I, too, want to be nice, wear pink, take my dog everywhere and still be great at my job while breaking everyone’s expectations about who I’m supposed to be/do. And this is a great movie. Good romance, good drama and everybody loves Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Coolidge (if you don’t, you’re wrong).
