Hi letterboxd!!! My apologies for not logging, no need to fear I still be watching movies. I am hopping on now because I’ve been given the opportunity to enter a giveaway for Mickey 17 merch (feeling excited and hopeful). Anyway, back to this movie. Instant 5 stars. Okay I’ve been obsessed with this story since I read the back of the book in 9th grade. But I must say I am mad there is no explanation for their suicides like ughhh I know that’s not what the message of the film is but I almost wish there was another version of the movie where that is the message and they make it a horror film lmao. Anyway, regarding the real version I love this portrayal of childhood and coming into your sexuality in a conservative household. Great story, the film is a little outdated for my taste.
