Very charming imaginative movie. It was worth it for me just for the adorable personification of all the animal characters ( The scene when the bear hugs the beaver, the beaver’s reaction is priceless) I love the animation, beautiful scenery and colours; the voices were perfect (the mama and baby opossums adorable). AND…something which I don’t always notice, the music. Typically the score is a background thing but this was so good and went so well with all the scenes,…

A Complete Unknown 2024
This film is about the first 4 to 5 years of Bob Dylan’s rise to fame after his arrival in NY at the beginning of 1961. Conclave 2024
What I like about this movie: unique original subject and ‘story’ ; a lot of ‘gray’ in subject, character and ‘story’ handling and not the expected black and white perspective that it could have been; excellent writing, understated yet riveting; the whispering, Aaah the whispering, very reminiscent of ‘Les Causeuses’ sculpture by Camille Claudel, The cardinal visuals ( scene with umbrellas YES), lovely robes, red velvet, marble walls, actually understated interiors and of course over the top interiors, red wax…

The 39 Steps 1935
It is one of the earlier Hitchcock films and honestly to this day I am amazed how captivating it still is. The adaptation, details of the scenes whether the close ups of the hands, the theatre scenes, ( I love the theatre scenes), the chase scenes, all of it, such complexity in its ‘classic-asim ’ of the thriller genre, to this day on par with the best thrillers innocent man on the run etc. it defined all the elements required for the best in that genre and of course established all the classic Hitchcockian elements. I also love Robert Donat.
