You see a movie, but you hear another. And you feel something else.
It is a brilliantly constructed fresh point of view of a subject that has been told many many times. It may be the first Holocaust movie that didn't make me want to cry and IMO that is where its brilliancy lies.
Watching it made me question my own blindness, what cruelties and absurdities have I been neglecting due to my privileges and to "how the world works".
