    The Substance

    ★★★★½

The Substance delves into the deeply ingrained societal obsession with self-image, shedding light on the toxic norms that shape our perception of beauty and identity.

This Coralie Fargeat directorial offers everything in my opinion. Be it unsettling gore, psychological layerings and even comical understones.

Packed with not only Demi Moore's amazing performance but also one of the best production design and cinematography in my opinion.

    ★★★★½

Payal Kapadia's dedication towards showcasing the humanistic conflicts in a busy and chaotic city like Mumbai forms the epicenter of her film "All we Imagine as Light".

The trajectory of the the film touches upon the themes of loneliness, acceptance and liberation through its protagonist.

Overall, the layering of multiple Indian cultural along with melancholic human story completes the motive of this tale.

    ★★★★★

Adolescence is truly one for the ages. The sheer brilliance of not only the narrative and its subject matter but also the masterful performances by the cast made my experience as a viewer unforgettable.

Pulling off such highly complex scenes and staging them to perfection in a single take was the epitome of modern cinematic excellence.

I am also now keen to follow Owen Cooper's journey as an actor. The boy has a great future ahead.

    Dune: Part Two

I was not immersed, but swallowed by this Dennis Villeneuve magnum opus. (No pun intended)

Dune: Part 2 clearly justifies why such films deserve to be seen in larger screens like IMAX.
The film capatilises on the foundation laid by its predecessor and catapults the narrative to a much bigger spectacle.

Villeneuve joins the league of Nolan in driving the post covid wave of 'larger than life cinema'.
