“wHy DOes eVeRyThiNg hAVe To bE SO pOliTiCaL” you’re actually annoying. How are you shocked that a director whose entire filmography critiques socioeconomic and political relations MAKES a film critiquing socioeconomic and political relations. If you were so offended by Ruffalo’s impression of a certain politician, then you must be able to recognize yourself in Marshall’s idolizers as well. Anyways… I think the story itself is a tad predictable (I blame that on its target audience being Americans), but that doesn’t mean that I wasn’t entertained. It had funny moments, and I was pleased by the ending. Nothing crazy, but a good movie imo

I love so much about this film. The black and white coloring and world building transports you back in time, but you’re constantly reminded that violence against women is very much a real problem that exists today.
