This movie isn’t compelling to me. It didn’t draw me in or make me care about the characters. It feels incohesive throughout the entire film.

A lot of the cinematography is stellar! The story and characters just aren’t compelling to me, it felt slow and stale.

    Sorry Brad…

This is a good movie! The way they incorporated photography is very cool - I like it a lot, especially being a photographer myself. The cinematography is also very good. Jesse Plemons is honestly maybe the best performance lol. On to my criticisms!

Kirsten Dunst’s performance honestly was pretty weak. Wasn’t a fan of her character, she didn’t make me care. And that leads to all the characters - this movie didn’t make me care about any of them enough. …

I was excited for this movie, as it was produced by Jordan Peele, the visuals in the trailer looked good, and I was excited to see what Dev Patel did! Sadly, saying this movie was a massive disappointment is an immense understatement. Monkey Man is not only everything wrong with cinema today, but everything wrong with our world - and specifically western culture. This movie has no morality, no character depth, and no heart. The things happening hold no meaning…

John Krasinski nailed this film. The amount of raw emotion and love conveyed with zero dialogue is the definition of good visual storytelling. I’ve said this before, but I also think that Krasinski’s background in comedy serves him well directing movies like this because he understands how to elicit a reaction from the audience. Thus, the suspense in this movie is fantastic. There also aren’t many movies that make me writhe in my seat feeling the pain of the character on screen, but that’s what this movie does to me.

There is nothing in this movie I have glaring issues with! 4.5 out of 5 stars!
