I distinctly remember the evening i watched this alone at home with my two younger siblings
BE WARNED..IT WILL SEVERELY TRAUMATISE YOUR CHILDREN
I still shudder to this day. Its the reason why i became debilitatingly afraid of my slightly strange neighbour as a child and cam up with the theory that she would murder me on my way home from 7,11 w a slurpee.
And whats the deal with this phase of late 2000s animation... i cant figure our which i find more uncanny, the story line or the wack head bopping :/

I like this movie because it has multiple character story lines which means you become invested in many of the character and side stories. The characters are unique and complex, each with their own distinct universe which only adds to the investment you have once each story line become intertwined with eachother,
The mystery aspect is great, as well as the fun and funky soundtrack....DAMN granny, that snow boarding scene phew, Epic, easily comparable to that one scene in secret…Translated from by

Probably hands down one of the most genius Will Ferrel films and also one of the most underrated.
I genuinely found the script writing like genius.. who the fuck came up with a Tacyon amplifier which Dr Rick Marshall a depressed loser teacher brings to an old theme park and enters into a deep friendship with the Chimp “chucka”…!?! Apocalypto 2006
From the first minute to 2.5 hours in I was gripped. Felt like a caffeinated fly on the wall witnessing from the inside the events that unfolded one after the other. From the fast paced unfolding of events, phenomenal acting and incredible set design , this is a thoroughly thought out stylistic movie that is clearly a dramatised story “based” on historical events. The fact that the entire movie was in the Mayan language just added to the believability. It was like… woah! What the fuck. And then …what the heck!!
