Scarface 1983
painfully obvious foreshadowing and too drawn out to be good fun. Elvira is insufferable and a victim of the writers; Al Pacino braves it through; the cinematographer seems to remember a camera can be interesting only every 30 minutes. they make good use of their blood budget only twice in here but that's not nearly enough for a 3 hour mob movie to be worthwhile :/

Everything I wanted. Pattinson gives incredible performance(s) and I was in love with the speed of the whole cast. Tension/ pacing was a little weird at times, but I love sci-fi movies that embrace their own systems of morals and performance whole heartedly. Fantastic visuals & camera work the whole time too

many, many concepts referenced but then never shown or wrapped up satisfyingly. some solid acting and cinematography, and a story that improves drastically post-Willem Dafoe introduction. however, this movie falls especially short in one critical aspect: they didnt make the vampire even a little sexy 😐.
