  I haven’t read the book, so I can’t comment on the adaption. I watched the movie without seeing the trailer so I went in it with an open mind, didn’t really know what it was about. It hit me hard. A trigger warning would’ve bean nice.

  I felt a sense of pride and sisterhood for Ani at the end for telling her story. The film feels like a big “fuck you” towards all the misogynistic shit women have to deal with, and I’m glad this movie exists to do that. A film everyone should watch, in my opinion.
