Definitely not my usual type of film, but enjoyed it nevertheless.
Some pretty good environmental storytelling or pathetic fallacy for my fellow passers of GCSE English, which really set the tone.
Suspect anyone with at least 2 friends will see some familiarities in each of the animal homies little personalities (Owen is deffo the little loot goblin lemur).
Suspect you can read into this on a deeper level and start yapping about “Everyone brings something different to the table” or “the deepest…
Well that definitely wasn’t the “Feel Good”, “Fun” or “Comedy” movie that Mubi decided to tag it as.
In any case, I had to get at least a second film out of that 1 week trial (not paying £15 a month), and I’m happy with the choice.
Excellent performance from Mads & co. Really set up the highs and rips you down to pretty dire lows…

Not sure how to feel about this one. I think we were seriously close to getting another all-timer film, but just fell a bit short (?)
Some cool ideas that were cleverly and playfully set up early on. Was strapped in for an interesting philosophical and moral debate and then Ruffalo’s trump (which, to be fair was great) took over with what felt like an unfinished commentary on modern politics…
Bug things were strangely cute though, would deffo grab a pint with the big mama.
