Starve Acre 2023
The book was one of my favorite in 2019, i was obsessed with the foggy and muddy atmosphere. (I, then, read all of Andrew Michael Hurlay’s work.. obsessed I said!)
The movie did a good job, not exactly how I had pictured story but it worked well. Not too long for a short story but could have gone deeper in that strange mood and background story of the place. Maybe felt too much at the surface.
Still, I’ll never recommend enough to read the book if you like folk horror.
