This works more as a horror film than the likes of "Suspiria" and its sequels/sister projects. It's still highly stylized, but manages to reach depths which those don't, in terms of plot and psychological significance. Amazing on all fronts. Amazing script, amazing Meryl Streep, amazing thoughts on adaptation, amazing adaptation of a work difficult to adapt, amazing meta commentary
