I made it through 8 seasons of Brooklyn 99 and it finally convinced me to watch Die Hard haha.

I think my favorite thing about this film was how NOT slick John McClane was. He was good, but he made mistakes, and he talked to himself like a silly goofy guy, and I felt like that gave the movie such a different tone to others of its type.

Genuinely don’t think I stopped crying for more than five or ten minutes at a time. WOW.

I can’t give it a full 5 stars just because of some pacing and post-production issues that the novice filmmaker in me can’t overlook, but the story was so strong and real and powerful that who even cares? 

We need more movies like this. We need more people like Roya. Just WOW.

I was skeptical because Nightmare Before Christmas wasn’t my vibe, but I had a grand time with this one. I loved not being able to figure out which ship to root for because both of them were really well-handled, especially considering that both were the strangers-to-arranged-marriage trope (lol is that even a trope).
