Seeking Mavis Beacon 2024
This was one of the most inspiring and thoughtful documentaries I've ever seen. Jazmin and Olivia have transformed the doc format and imbued it with their lived experiences, values, morals and aesthetics. With the help of their DP Yeelen, the film is both incredibly intimate and grand in scale. Plus the score and music choices kept the film moving while giving it such a distinct personality. Can't praise this movie enough, go see it in a theater!!!!
