I can’t help but feel like there was a bunch of movie left on the cutting room floor with this release. RP is incredible as always, Ruffalo’s Trump thing is great despite a couple painfully on-the-nose aspects, and the set pieces are amazing. My biggest complaints are the plot points that don’t go anywhere and the characters that feel important initially but don’t become important. Although the concept is so wild, this is a surprisingly tame film. Maybe I just anticipated too much, but I can’t help but feel slightly disappointed.
That being said, it’s still much better than most and worth a watch.
