Can't decide between The Godfather and Whiplash for #1
Great, very funny movie with some MAJOR pacing issues imo. Very heartfelt, may actually be a 4.5.
This is not a movie. I watched this with friends and 45 minutes in I said, "I haven't read a subtitle in 20 minutes." My friend responded saying, "I have read every word in the subtitles and I still don't know what's going on." There is no plot, things just happen and it is woefully boring. It's not so bad it's good, no it just makes no sense but it can lead to an interesting experience while watching. The movie is an 80-minute long inkblot test, however, you can't discern what it is no matter how close attention you pay.
Everything Igor does in this movie is pure gold. Mel Brooks is a genius comedy writer and Gene Wilder delivers a fantastic performance, this movie is just so good.
