Beautifully interwoven story about men's relationships to their fathers (and sons) and their ego. The urge to be a provider, the liability of portraying yourself as strong, toxic masculinity and power games, and the passing on of generational trauma.

This one broke my heart and really did hit too close to home. I loved the slow buildup and revelation about the girls' friendship. The loneliness is portrayed so well and small camera tricks, like the blur when being drunk in the club make the movie effortlessly realistic (of course excellent acting supports that as well).

I also want to sleep on Christian Bale's biceps as my only pillow and rescue fluffy puppies.

This is a special kind of movie to watch in a packed cinema. You will experience: People walking out of the theater disgusted, people laughing with relief after intense scenes, people jumping in their seats in fear, people laughing somehow inappropriately and people constantly holding their hands in front of their faces.. And yes, I also saw some crying at the end.
