Worth a watch just for the animation, but you might as well watch it on mute because the story is a retread immigrant story that we've seen a million times. A bottom-third Pixar movie.

Everything Must Go 2010
The lead needs to carry this movie and Farrel is good but not great. Flip Ferrel and Michael Pena and this movie is much better but also probably doesn't get made.

Other than Michele Williams the cast is pretty "meh." And something about Spielberg making himself the hero gives me the ick. Plus we already know the ending. Of course the kid becomes obsessed with movies. He's Steven Spielberg. My advice: Watch the John Ford scene online (which apparently happened word-for-word in real life), then spend the time you saved watching any other Spielberg film.
