Jesus could be seen as a schizophrenic sociopath fuck boy whose beliefs are a cross between Patrick Bateman and Naruto, proving that falling in love, marriage and having a family are the least pious acts, and he got off light with this crucifixion.
Great telling of the Christian origin providing nuance to the struggle that religion both alleviates and purports.

Was really loving it until he got out of prison (1 out of 2hr runtime). The way he explores and ingrains himself into Paris society is Dumas specialty and the movie has barely any of it. Just enough expose for him to get his vengeances which are so catastrophically played down. The amount of manipulation and anguish he bestows when his plans come to fruition in the books are the best part. Oh well it was to be expected at…
