  As you finish watching, you feel you learn enough about Camus to be disappointed with the movie. A very superficial portrait of a very complex man. I credit the good acting and the desire Camus’ story may be later told in a different way.

  There is a lot in this movie and it is difficult to follow it if you do not have a an advanced historical perspective on the context.

  I could enjoy my first try but it fell way better on the second one after some research on several characters.

  Technically, it is a great movie. Pretty good acting by Gary Oldman. And, a biopic that may bring you some extra knowledge.
