Starring Christopher Walken and Louise Fletcher, music by James Horner and directed by Douglas Trumbull, I couldn’t resist.

Nor was there any need to. The movie is stylistically intact. It has a good suspenseful atmosphere. The cinematography is good. It’s well paced; not an action movie but more of a thoughtful one. There are hardly any needless scenes. It keeps growing steadily and the ending doesn’t disappoint.

The acting with this stellar cast is good. It’s nice to see Fletcher…

    Godzilla Minus One

    ★★★★

Gojira Minus One brings to the screen the best interation of Gojira to date since 1984.

The film is heavy in its atmosphere. Japan, ravaged by war, is caught in the teeth of the worst possible monster of utter destruction.

The film deals with Japan's wartime traumas without any of the usual excuses or polishing explanations.
The shame of the Kamikaze pilot, the loss of children and parents, physical destruction, the gap between the generations that were in the war…

An alright action-movie but lacks the atmosphere of the first two instalments. John McClane has another bad day. This time however the action lack punch is somehow pushed into ones face. A bit tiresome sequel.

The last Indiana Jones movie unfortunately lacks punch even though it is able to create some suspenseful moments.
Mostly the reasons for the lack of punch are the several Indiana Jones cliches such as the various chases with various vehicles and the fist fights and kicks to and from those moving vehicles.

The de-ageing is done well. Ford is quite believable as his younger self. The joy of the movie is Waller-Bridge, who practically carries the film on her shoulders…
