Watched this film again to see if my review is accurate before writing a review. And it is...for me.

On the surface, this is a brilliantly made musical, stunning visuals, brilliant vocal performances, catchy songs, emotional moments but at times surprisingly humorous!

However deeper down you get a relatable tale about the power of friendship, recognising each others differences as strengths and a questioning of moral good versus "wicked" and what makes someone this way.

The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim

    ★★★

Good animation in majority, interesting enough story, great action, but too heavy with the WB Lord of the Rings IP and fan service at the end that felt pointless apart from to try and make out it's in the PJ universe.

Feels like what Fellowship of the Ring is to Lord of the Rings - the start of a longer journey that has to be watched in context to the sequels but still decent on its own. I am glad they are taking their time to tell the story as there is so much to unpack within the full saga of Dune. And the character portrays feel right, even though they are variants of the book.

I guess we will have to see what we are delivers in subsequent sequels.
